Registration is now a two-part system; first beginning with USA Rugby, then by registering with the Cardinals.

Age Eligibility:

This division is for boys who are ages 13 & under as of September 1, 2024. All coaches are USA Rugby Certified.

Practices:

Carolina Ruggerfest practice & preparations
- Sundays February 23rd from 12pm - 2pm at Ardrey Kell High School (10220 Ardrey Kell Road, Charlotte, NC 28277)
- Thursday, February 20th from 6pm - 8pm at Ardrey Kell High School (10220 Ardrey Kell Road, Charlotte, NC 28277)
- Wednesday, February 26th from 6pm - 8pm at Olympic High School (4301 Sandy Porter Road, Charlotte, NC 28273)
Starting Wednesday, March 5th practice will be held weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

Competition

U14 Boys Cardinals teams will compete within North Carolina Youth Rugby Union (NCYRU) and will be complimented with friendly matches and tournament play.
The season for U14 Cardinals will kick off at Carolina Ruggerfest in Matthews, NC on March 1 & 2, 2025.
Matches will be held in a Jamboree-style format at various venues throughout North Carolina.
Along with regularly scheduled league matches, the U14 Boys will have the chance to be selected to participate in the Gonzaga Rugby Classic (Washington, DC)
All Cardinals will compete in Cardinal Cup action!

Registration fee: $395.00

USA Rugby additional $65.00 annually.
Cardinals registration includes supplemental insurance, game day trainers, Cardinals warmup t-shirt, shorts, socks, and mouthguard.

The Charlotte Cardinals believe everyone can help grow the game. Partial and full scholarships are available through the Peter Zehmke Foundation.
Additional fees may apply to help support this team’s travel and events. Each family is responsible for their own travel and accommodation if necessary.
You will need your USA Rugby Membership number as well as medical insurance information in order to complete Cardinals Spring 2025 Season registration.
